The Comfort Lock Implant Bridge Vs. Other Replacement Options

The dental bridge has come a long way since roughly the 7th century B.C., when the Etruscans (of modern-day Tuscany in Italy) used the earliest known form of bridgework: a gold band that held fake teeth in place.

Today, a traditional dental bridge anchors artificial teeth to your natural teeth on either side of the gap, called abutment teeth. This is done with the help of dental crowns, which cover the visible portion of the abutment teeth. The artificial teeth filling in the gap are attached to those dental crowns.

It’s a good option — and a popular one — but there are several disadvantages.

First, because a traditional dental bridge only replaces the visible portion of missing teeth (and not the tooth roots), the jawbone underneath is not engaged when you chew. This can lead to bone loss and a “sunken” appearance to parts of your face.

Second, they require a lot of care and upkeep. That’s why many people prefer a dental implant-supported bridge.

This prosthetic option uses the power of dental implants to create a secure, comfortable, and long-lasting fit. Dental implants are small titanium posts that replace the roots of missing teeth. They actually fuse with the jawbone like real roots, which helps maintain the health of your jaw. Plus, dental implants are as close as you can get to new teeth!

Still, there are things many people — including Dr. Roeder — don’t like about the implant-supported bridge. The screws used for dental implants are small and can break easily. They can also require a lot of maintenance and time in the dental chair, making them an expensive option.

That’s why Dr. Roeder created the Comfort Lock Implant Bridge! It eliminates screws and instead uses special connectors to attach the prosthetic to dental implants. We can make it so it’s near-permanent and can only be removed by a dentist, or we can make it so you can easily remove it yourself for regular cleaning and comfort.

We’re dedicated to finding the best solution for you!

Advantages Of The Comfort Lock Implant Bridge

At Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, we’ve had great success with the Comfort Lock Implant Bridge. Here’s why many patients prefer it to other teeth replacement options:

  • It allows for thorough dental cleanings and exams since it is removable.
  • The process for removing your bridge is simple. You can do it at home!
  • We use zirconia to create your dental bridge, so it’s nearly indestructible. You’ll be able to eat whatever you want and not worry.

We also offer this amazing treatment option for those needing to replace a full arch of teeth. The Comfort Lock Implant Denture offers the security of All-On-4® dental implants, which anchors a full arch of artificial teeth to four dental implants. But the Comfort Lock Implant Denture encourages healthier dental hygiene since it’s removable.

Plus, the Comfort Lock Implant Denture is roughly two-thirds the cost of All-On-4 dental implants!
