But truth be told, there are instances in which removing problematic teeth can be the best thing for your dental health. And if you’re looking for more comfortable wisdom teeth removal in Quakertown, PA, you’ll want to trust the expert team at Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care.

Keeping You Comfortable At Every Step

From the moment you walk into our office, you’ll notice that our office isn’t like other dental practices. You’ll be greeted by a team of friendly faces who want to make you feel at home. In our reception area, you’ll find a coffee and tea station where you can relax with a hot beverage. We also have snacks available.

And our efforts don’t stop once you’re called back for your appointment. We actually have a “comfort menu,” full of unique amenities to keep you comfortable during your appointment. This includes sunglasses to shield your eyes from the overhead lamp we use during the procedure, soft pillows and blankets, lip balm, and more!

Reducing Pain

When you think of having teeth removed, you probably think about the possibility of pain. But at Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, we even take measures to minimize and in many cases eliminate pain for patients during the procedure.

It all starts with our special sting-free local anesthesia. Thanks to our custom-made anesthetic, we’re able to numb you with little to no pain. We can also help you relax even further with three dental sedation options:

  • Nitrous oxide, a gas inhaled through a small mask that produces a mild euphoria.
  • Oral sedation, which comes as a pill you take before your appointment and helps you feel relaxed.
  • IV sedation, which is administered directly into the bloodstream and allows you to experience your dental work from a dream-like state. This is often the best choice for patients undergoing extensive dental work, as it makes the process painless and stress-free.

Dr. Roeder has extensive knowledge in the field of sedation dentistry because he completed the University of Pittsburgh Medical & Dental School Anesthesiology training program. When you opt for IV sedation, we will constantly monitor your sedation levels and vital signs to ensure that you are both safe and comfortable for the duration of your appointment.

Sometimes, our patients experience so little discomfort during their extraction that they don’t realize their tooth has already been removed by the time the dental work is over!

Post-Procedure Comforts

One of the little things we like to do for patients who undergo extractions is to offer them a post-procedure milkshake. We know that wisdom teeth removal can be nerve-wracking, and you won’t be able to enjoy your favorite foods right after the extraction, so we like to provide our patients with a little treat once the work is over.

Following your extraction, you’ll want to take it easy for a couple days. You may experience some discomfort as you heal, but over-the-counter painkillers can minimize any pain.

Here are some other precautions you may have to take as well:

  • If an incision is made to remove the tooth, we’ll have you bite down on gauze to make sure there’s no bleeding.
  • We recommend the use of ice packs to minimize swelling.
  • In the days after your extraction, consume soft, cold or room-temperature foods. But no straws!
  • Don’t smoke or use any form of tobacco for up to three days after the procedure.

And of course, our compassionate team is always a quick phone call away. If you have any questions, you can reach us from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week!

If your wisdom teeth are giving you trouble, don’t just settle for any dentist to perform your extraction. Come to Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, where your comfort is our priority. Call us at (215) 804-4777 to schedule a consultation, or use our online form to request an appointment.
